United Marine Training Center (UMTC) is proud to announce the expansion of its welding facility to meet the increasing demand for skilled welders in both the land-based industry and the onboard workforce.
This facility has an additional 16 welding booths equipped with the latest technology manufactured by Miller Electric Company, which allows UMTC to accommodate more trainees for all types of Electric Arc Welding Processes, such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Metal Inert Gas (MIG), and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG).
UMTC trains welders in 3G and 6G positions for the Welder Performance Qualification conducted by Bureau Veritas for the Class Certification, ensuring that they meet the highest industry standards.
The expansion proves our commitment to providing high-quality training and education in the maritime industry.
