UMTC proudly announces another expansion of its state-of-the-art welding facility—further proof of its strong commitment to producing highly skilled, world-class welders for both the maritime and land-based industries.

The new extension features eight additional welding booths, further increasing the center’s capacity to train welders and fitters. Each booth is fully equipped to support Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), as well as 3G and 6G position welding techniques, training, and assessment, ensuring that trainees receive comprehensive hands-on experience aligned with industry demands.

It increases not only the center’s capacity to accommodate more trainees but also enhances the hands-on experience delivered through modernized and fully equipped workstations, powered by Unitor welding equipment, strengthening the quality and reliability of its training infrastructure.

These upgrades ensure that each trainee gets the proper exposure, environment, and mentoring needed to prepare them for rigorous Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) assessments conducted by Bureau Veritas for Class Certification.

UMTC is dedicated to enhancing technical skills and safety standards.

We partner with Unitor, an organization that shares our commitment to upholding the highest standards in safety and precision. Together, we equip and empower the workforce with the tools, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in high-demand sectors worldwide.
