Seafarer’s Mental Health and Well-being
This interactive and comprehensive course aims to raise awareness of mental health and well-being in both oneself and others within the maritime context.
It provides interactive and comprehensive knowledge about mental health and well-being. The delivery method is face-to-face, ensuring a personalized experience for each participant. The participant group size ranges from 10 to 24 seafarers, allowing for an intimate and engaging learning environment.
Training Outcome/s:
- define Mental health as aligned with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) concept
- identify possible causes of poor mental health among seafarers
- examine general signs of distress and other common mental health-related challenges among seafarers
- identify actions to take to refer or signpost fellow crew member
- recognize measures to promote wellbeing
