3G Welding Training for Class Certification

The course aims to provide shipboard fitters with training to upgrade their skills in Shielded Metal Arc welding in the 3G position, in preparation for welder performance qualification by Bureau Veritas, under the approved welding procedure specification based on the American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1: Structural Welding Code—Steel.
Training Outcome/s:
- follow safety working practices in SMAW
- set up welding consumables, tools, accessories, and equipment
- prepare test plate in butt joint
- conduct 3G weld
Entry Standard/s: All Shipboard fitters who will undergo the Bureau Veritas Welding Trade Test Duration: 8 training days |
