Electro-Technical Rating Practical Assessment
This practical assessment aims to determine the competence level of aspiring Electro-Technical Rating (ETR) in their capability to perform the functions of Electro-Technical Rating (ETR) as stated in STCW Code, 1978, as amended.
Assessment Outcome/s:
- Scenario 1: C1, C2, C4
- Safe use of electrical equipment
- Use hand tools, and electrical and electronic measurement equipment for fault finding, maintenance, and repair operations
- Contribute to shipboard maintenance and repair
- Scenario 2: C3
- Contribute to the monitoring of the operation of electrical systems and machinery
- Scenario 3: C5
- Contribute to the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and machinery on board
- Scenario 4: C6
- Contribute to the handling of stores
- Scenario 5: C7
- Apply precautions and prevention of pollution of the marine environment
- Scenario 6: C8
- Apply occupational health and safety procedures
