Electro-Technical Rating Practical Assessment

This practical assessment aims to determine the competence level of aspiring Electro-Technical Rating (ETR) in their capability to perform the functions of Electro-Technical Rating (ETR) as stated in STCW Code, 1978, as amended. 

Assessment Outcome/s:

• • Safe use of electrical equipment
  • Use hand tools, and electrical and electronic measurement equipment for fault finding, maintenance, and repair operations
  • Contribute to shipboard maintenance and repair
• Scenario 2: C3
• •  Contribute to the monitoring of the operation of electrical systems and machinery
• Scenario 3: C5
• • Contribute to the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and machinery on board
• Scenario 4: C6
• • Contribute to the handling of stores
• Scenario 5: C7
• • Apply precautions and prevention of pollution of the marine environment
• Scenario 6: C8
• • Apply occupational health and safety procedures
