Green Marine Specialized Training on Methanol as Marine Fuel- Basic
This program provides specialized Basic Training for seafarers serving on ships using methanol as fuel and is developed in accordance with the IMO Interim Guidelines under STCW.7/Circ.26. The training is delivered by experienced facilitators, including Captains and Chief Engineers with extensive operational experience on methanol dual-fuel vessels and expertise in the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of methanol-fueled ships.
The BASIC component of the curriculum focuses on the knowledge and skills required to contribute to the safe operation of ships using methanol as fuel, recognize and control fuel-related hazards, apply occupational health and safety measures, respond to emergencies and fires, and prevent pollution.
