Master-Pilot Relationship Course

This course aims to deepen an effective Master-Pilot exchange to reduce ship accidents during maneuvering with the pilot on board and in pilotage water.

Training Outcome/s:

• use the principles of the Bridge Resource Management System when the pilot is on board
• follow standard bridge operating procedures with and without a pilot
• demonstrate knowledge of ship handling with and without a pilot
• display proper and effective communication when working with pilot/s on board
• demonstrate how to deal with critical situations when the pilot is on board
