The aim of the course is to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to ensure the safe and efficient handling, stowage, and transportation of log cargoes. This course will emphasize risk management, compliance with regulatory standards, and the implementation of best practices to prevent accidents and ensure the integrity of both the cargo and crew throughout the shipping process considering the recommendations and guidance of the International Convention on Loadlines and Code of Safe Practice for Ships Carrying Timber Deck Cargoes, 2011 (2011 TDC Code).
