Basic Gas Tungsten Arc Welding

(GTAW)

This course aims to provide seafarers practical knowledge and skills in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process with an understanding of the proper safe welding practices, applications, preparation, procedures and techniques as applied preferably in the Maritime industry.

Training Outcome/s:
  • Weld mid steel plate using GTAW
  • Weld black steel pipe using GTAW 
Entry Standard/s: 
  • Open to Engine Ratings
Training Duration: 3 training days
