Bridge Team and Resource Management for Pilots

This course provides marine pilots with refresher and updated training on the principles and practice of bridge teamwork and bridge resource management, with emphasis on communication, teamwork, and leadership. 

It enhances the relationship between the bridge team and the pilot by enabling them to work together effectively as a cohesive team to navigate, handle, and maneuver a ship safely and efficiently.  

Training Outcome/s:

• maintain a safe and effective bridge team-pilot relationship
• use of teamwork, leadership, and managerial skills
• apply watchkeeping arrangements and procedures
• maintain safe navigation through the use of information from navigation equipment and systems to assist    command decision-making and
• maneuver and handle a ship in all conditions
