Deck Ratings Promoted to Operational Level Officers

This program is designed to provide deck ratings with the continued proficiency development for promotion as officer in charge of the navigational watch.

Training Outcome/s:

• apply leadership and team working skills;
• prepare for Port State Control Inspections;
• transmit and receive information using GMDSS sub systems and equipment and fulfilling the functional requirements of GMDSS;
• apply COLREG to maintain a safe navigational watch;
• plan and execute a voyage Plan; and
• maintain safe navigation with Bridge Teamwork and Resource Management.
