Guidance to Port State Control Webinar
The webinar aims to guide all ship officers on Port State Control Inspections to meet the required international standards outlined in various conventions, particularly those related to safety and pollution prevention.
It addresses the minimum competence standards outlined in Regulation II/1 for navigational watch officers, Regulation II/2 for masters and chief mates of ships over 500 gross tonnages, Regulation III/1 for engineering watch officers, Regulation III/2 for chief engineers and second engineers on ships with significant propulsion power, and Regulation III/6 for electro-technical officers, along with relevant STCW Code tables.
Training Outcome/s:
- define Port State Control (PSC)
- conduct a PSC inspection in a simulated environment
- explain how to resolve deficiency findings
