Practical Workshop Skills

This course aims to provide knowledge, skills, and behaviors for engine cadets and engine ratings in fabricating engine parts and maintaining and repairing deck and engine equipment using hand and power tools. 

Training Outcome/s:

• explain the safety precautions for engine repairs and maintenance when working with hand and power tools
• demonstrate skills in safely and properly using different hand tools for engine repair and maintenance
• demonstrate skills in safely and properly using different power tools for engine repairs and maintenance
• interpret the working drawings and demonstrate skills in measuring specific machine parts
