Pre-test for 3rd Engineer Promoted to 2nd Engineer

To determine the current competency of the Third Marine Engineer in performing their duties as an officer in charge of an engineering watch in preparation for their promotion to Second Marine Engineer

Evaluation Outcome/s:

After the evaluation, the assessor should be able to assess and determine the current competence of the 3rd Engineer in the following competencies:

• Auxiliary machinery operations
• Auxiliary engine operations and associated systems
• Electrical, electronic, and control systems operations
• Maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment

Entry Standards:

Must be a 3rd Engineer being promoted to 2nd Engineer
