AFT MOORING STATION
The aft mooring station is outfitted with electro-hydraulic operated winch and associated mooring equipment. Onboard mooring operations are simulated, demonstrated, and practiced, for example, securing and letting go of mooring lines and tug lines using synthetic and wire ropes. The participants execute planned, safe, and efficient mooring arrangements under the supervision of an experienced mariner UMTC-qualified instructor.

FORWARD MOORING STATION
The Forward mooring station is equipped with electro-hydraulic operated wind glass and associated mooring equipment and an anchoring system. This is used to conduct realistic simulated mooring operations and anchoring exercises, such as picking up a line, securing to the bitts using a stopper and casting off mooring and tug lines. Letting go anchor, weighing an anchor and securing an anchor for sea

ACCOMMODATION LADDER
Activities include practical exercises on proper rigging, unrigging, and securing of accommodation ladder and safety net, as well as preparation in combination with the pilot ladder. The facility consists of a real 12-meter accommodation ladder made of aluminum with 18 steps, clearly painted with distinctive colors on each ladder. It also includes a lifebuoy with self-igniting light, a messenger line, stanchions, hand ropes, fall arrestors, a wire span for securing the lifeline, a “Crew fit” floatation aid, portable radios, and a pilot ladder. The information regarding the minimum and maximum permitted design angles of inclination, design load, and maximum load are marked within the vicinity.

CONTAINER LASHING PLATFORM
The container lashing facility comprises three tiers of 20-foot containers that allow trainees to properly lash and unleash containers using the same equipment used on board.

CARGO LASHING PLATFORM
The Cargo Lashing Platform is designed to provide participants with the needed hands-on learning experience in securing and lashing general and heavy-lift cargoes.
With the flexibility of the movable bulkhead, a realistic onboard scenario can be achieved by securing different types and sizes of cargo, whether on deck or inside cargo holds.
The lashing equipment utilized, such as pad eyes, turnbuckles, wire ropes, wire clips, different grades of lashing chains, and webbings, is used on board ships.
